Hi! I am a full-stack web software developer based in Hamburg working on a freelance basis. I hold a doctor's degree in computer science from Humboldt University Berlin.
While I have a fundamental knowledge in the area of XML processing, I am working most of the time as a general web applications developer, using both Java and Scala on the back-end, as well as different JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS or Vue.js on the front-end. Amongst others I have gained a deep understanding of the Spring framework. Since I am interested in extending my skills into the field of iOS development I am exploring currently the new features of Swift.
Since October 2015 I have been working as an associate lecturer at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA), teaching object orientation, Java, and JavaScript.
I have contributed to the specification of XSLT 3.0 and I am the author of the annotated german translation of the XPath 1.0 specification.
I admire clean code, humanity, an open mind, and when I'm not coding I enjoy cycling, playing drums, and taking photos.
